"A Real Woman": Today I did the next one on the list."Does not have a nagging, contentious or manipulative manner in which she deals with others. (Judges 16:16, Proverbs 21:9, Proverbs 26:21) While I was reading these verses I thought about how this one especially applies to the majority of us. We all have moments when we are nagging our fathers or brothers. In these verses it says that we shouldn't be nagging, because the nagging will never help us. It is better for us to keep our mouths shut, instead of constantly nagging and manipulating people. The more contentious we are the more we hurt ourselves and those around us. We need to work towards knowing when to speak and knowing when to simply keep our lips shut. We all struggle with this, but with God's help, we can learn when to speak and when to listen.

Devotional Picture: Day 5
As young women, we are following God's word and instructions on how we need to conduct
ourselves. We do all things to glorify God.
ourselves. We do all things to glorify God.
"A Real Woman": Today I did the next one on the list."Portrays chastity, modesty and reverence in her manner, and wears the ornament of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is her true beauty. (1 Peter 3: 3-4, and Titus 2: 4-5) were the verses given. What I toke out of these verses is that, we don't need jewels or fancy clothes to define us. We are who God intended us to be, and no amount of material things will change that. While we are doing God's will he is defining us. Our appearance isn't who we are, but the way we conduct ourselves and they ways we treat others are who we are. We as young women need to treat our fathers, friends, and husbands, while we don't have husbands now, we do have fathers and brothers and guy friends who we need to treat with respect and obedience. We need to follow God's word to show us how we need to be conducting ourselves. While we are doing these things we will be happy with our life while following God's word.
John Porter.
Keeping the Porter family in my prayers. They have lost their father, and husband. Praying they will see God through it all.

"A Real Woman": Today I did the fourth one on the list."Does not wallow in self-pity or make a habit of voicing complaints, but radiates cheerfulness and joy." I read these verses given (Proverbs 15:15. Proverbs 17:22) and through reading them I got that while we are doing the work God has meant for us to do what could go wrong? While we are doing His will we should be happy, with a positive attitude towards it all! When we have a cheerful heart we are doing not only good by doing what is needed of us according to God, but we are doing good by doing it selflessly, using everything we have in us for the glory of God. When we are doing that how could we not smile! We need to be going through everything in our lives with God by our side, and a cheerful, positive attitude. Through doing this we will glorify God.

"A Real Woman": Today I did the next one on the list. "Does not compete
for equality with men or chafe at God's design for male and female, but
delights in and understands the importance of her calling to complement
man's role. Through reading the verses given, ( 1 Timothy 2:11-12,
Ephesians 5:22-24) I saw that women are meant to subject to the men. We as women are intended to encourage and help the men, but not rule over them. Women are meant to be mans helper, we are not meant to take over a mans position. We need to submit to and encourage men, (someday our husbands). We are here to be their helper and their encouragement. We shouldn't be tearing them down for their mistakes, but helping them recover from what ever it may be. Women need to submit to men. (Their future husband especially). We need to stand tall beside men, and encourage them to do what is right with God.

"A Real Woman": Today I did the next one on the list. "Realizes her imperative need to allow the Holy Spirit to control her emotions and expressions of them." While I was reading the verse given (James 1:19-20) I realized that God really is in control of all that happens in our lives. He gave me my life, and has the power to do anything he wills with it. So with my emotions, I am now giving them to God. Bringing before Him, the good and the bad. All of it is ultimately in His hands. So I am going to work hard at being aware of my emotions, so that way the more I know the more I can bring to God. In the end it is His will that will prevail. I am going to strive everyday to be aware of my emotions and bring them to God. So that when the day is over He is still my number one.

Keep in mind every day is a blessing and a gift from God. We never know when we will be called to that holy place. While it is sad for those of us left here, know that if the person has accepted God, he is in a much better place. We can find peace through God in times of despair. Pray for Luke and Shane who just lost their father today. This man was in church this morning people talked to him, no one knowing that this man would be leaving earth later today. His boys never knowing that tomorrow they would wake up without their dad. Pray Shane and Luck can find peace and love in God.
For if we be dead in Him, we shall also live with Him
2 Timothy 2:11
For if we be dead in Him, we shall also live with Him
2 Timothy 2:11
"A Real Woman": Today I did the first one on the list. "Seeks to make God her number one desire and the Lover of her soul, knowing that only He can fully satisfy her." In reading the verses given, Psalm 73:25, and Psalm 63:1. I took away that while we are going through our lives we aren't always focused on what God is laying forth for us in our lives. It gets to easy for us to stray away from Him, and do our own thing leaving behind God. We need to make sure in our lives that God is our number one desire. We need to focus on Him, and want Him in our everyday lives. He is the one who will get us through anything life throws at us. With Him coming first in our lives, we can take anything!
In my devotions I have been studying what it means to be "A Real Woman" With the help of The Rebelution Blog's: "A Real Woman" http://www.therebelution.com/blog/2006/02/three-teens-define-a-real-woman/. I have taken one of these things everyday and studied, and applied them to my life. By doing one each day I am continuing to learn more, and more about what it really means to be a real woman. While doing these everyday I have been able to keep more of what God desires for us in my mind, all day long. I have started taking these things and using them throughout every aspect of my life. I thought I would share with you a little something I find in each one everyday. Also I am going to add a picture that goes with what I have taken out of my devotions.
